District 4 Honors one player per team during their District Tournaments. This award is called the Ed Hosey Unsung Hero Award and is given to players who meet the following criteria:
-

-
Player demonstrates Courage on and off the field of play
-
Player demonstrates character as a player, person, and shows respect towards his coaching staff, plays the game with love and honor and inspires his teammates to strive to play their best, but most of all he cares not for himself but for the team and the game of baseball
The Unsung Hero Award is given to the player who was AWAYS ready, encouraged each player while playing the game, helped the coaches find the encouraging words for the players that were struggling and down and was always willing to help another player, coach or parent with whatever task needed to be completed. He did this with no need for praise…it was just the right thing to do.
